While studying film and broadcast at the University of North Texas, I am an Assistant Studio Engineer at the on-campus studio for North Texas Television (ntTV). This position calls for understanding of all studio equipment and operations. At this job, I install, monitor, and troubleshoot equipment during each live or live-to-tape shows.

During my time in this position, I took on an administrative role, creating equipment documentation and training handbooks for new operators, coordination with other departments, scheduling/booking, and more. This position has allowed me to know my studio on campus inside and out.

Live Event in Arlington, Texas - October 2022

I worked as a Camera Operator and a Production Assistant for this event. During the first half of the show, I was in charge of assisting CG/GFX and talent. For the second half of this show, I was a camera operator for one of the events occurring.

I was involved with set-up and strike of all equipment. Camera assembly, cable wrapping, etc.

Before the show, I also took on a role of communicating with the Coca-Cola vendors on event set-up so our director could decide where they wanted each of their shots.

Live Event in Fort Worth, Texas - November 2022

I worked as a Production Assistant for this live event. I was involved with set-up and strike of the set and all equipment, and my other duties consisted of cable wrapping, fiber-runs, etc.

During this show, I also had the opportunity to shadow an A1, and act as an A2 for parts of the weekend.

During my time at the University of North Texas, I also was the Technical Director for one of ntTV's Nightly Newscasts. This position required me to be under pressure, think quickly, listen for and execute calls, as well as become familiar with the equipment (Ross Carbonite + Dashboard).

Also during my time at UNT and with North Texas Television (ntTV), I was the A1 for multiple of their newscasts for two years and counting.
